Cookin up |
Hey ya'll!! I had an amazing week this week, it went crazy fast. And I'm having lots of fun especially in my classes. It's been fun starting to understand my teachers and understand a little bit what they are teaching. I've been working on writing in all Hirigana and Katakana and it's going pretty well so far! My district says it feels like a super power haha. The speaking is getting a bit better, we always have random words we like to say through out the day. Which by the way I almost lost my book with ALL my Nihongo random words, but I found it in the grass field luckily.
It's been really fun with the district and we've gotten to play lots of volleyball as a district this week. And I got to play for a little bit with Tate the day before he left. So yea that's sad Lincoln and Tate left. But their missions look so dope and I'm excited for them. I also got to play some basketball with Elder Brown from my District and some random Elders which is always pretty competitive but everyone is nice. My district also got to serve the dinner for the new missionaries this week. And that was actually the highlight of Wednesday, we were cookin it up. I also ran into Adam Aina at lunch one day which was awesome! It's cool to see some people from back home.
Book of Mormon:
My favorite thing this week was getting to read the Book of Mormon so much! I went and got a new Book of Mormon which I have now been able to mark up and it is literally the most exciting thing each day. Thinking about the different lessons I'll teach as a missionary it is so cool to be able to find Scriptures that have perfect explanation to almost every question. And I finally have more time in my days so I can really spend lots of time reading. Which I also think shows how much I love the Book of Mormon because I don't know if I have ever read through a full book other than the Diary of a Wimpy Kid series.
Scripture:
A scripture I really practiced in my own life this week was Moroni 10:4-5. I've prayed each day to find Truth of the Book of Mormon and found so many answers and blessings each time I read it.
4. And when ye shall receive these things, I would exhort you that ye would ask God, the Eternal Father, in the name of Christ, if these things are not true; and if ye shall ask with a sincere heart, with real intent, having faith in Christ, he will manifest the truth of it unto you, by the power of the Holy Ghost.
5. And by the power of the Holy Ghost ye may know the truth of all things.
Missing everyone! And I hope all is well!
