Immersion!

24 C boys

 Hey yall!!

This week was pretty lit! It went by really fast and has been really fun. One of my favorite parts about this week is we started immersion on Thursday night. So 6 hours of Japanese a day now! I've really enjoyed it and it's sorta making sense. We've learned most of the introduction phrases and trying to get down the survival phrases so when they are talking I can say もういちどおねいがざいます( mou ichido oneigazaimasu or something close to that haha, which means can you say that again please ). So I'm really wanting to get that down because after talking to Elder Yamanoi and Elder Lee (Elder Lee is from Sapporo!!) who are both from Japan I can tell I'll really need it. We had a Devotional with all the Nihongo Districts on Friday, and it was really cool being able to understand most of what was said in the missionaries Testimonies. And some of what the Teachers spoke on. I've really enjoyed singing in Nihongo, its fun just trying my best, and every time we sing I can tell I'm getting a little bit better. But I'm still lost with most the katakana, so still trying to get that down. Luckily they don't use it nearly as much.

Tuesday Devotional:
This Devotional was absolutely amazing. I got to sing in the choir "Redeemer of Israel" and it was very hard because my voice is not meant to get that high. But the best part is we got to hear from Elder Bednar and Sister Bednar. It really was one of the most spiritual experiences I've ever felt. It was so cool to me that at the start Elder Bednar told each of us to NOT take notes. But to just listen to his words and feel the spirit, and if you feel prompted about something, then to record it. Elder Bednar taught us about the translation of the Book of Mormon. And how Joseph Smith could not have translated that book without the help of God, and how there was no way he could have just made it up. There is no doubt in my mind about the truth of The Book of Mormon.

Helping Others Lesson:
We had a practice lesson on Wednesday, and you have max 25 min which I would always think is like totally enough time or even too much time haha. But I can finally see that it is not even close to enough time. We did a little over the max time and still had a few principles we didn't get to. I've been able to feel the help of God in so many ways already especially teaching which is definitely not amazing but is getting better.

I'm having so much fun so far, and have met so many cool people.

みなさんをあいしてます! (Love you all!)
