Snowed in Shibetsu!!

Shibetsu Buddhist Shrine

I made it to Shibetsu!!! Today was the first day of snow and it snowed a ton today and we got to go to a Buddhist Shrine here which was really cool.

帯広 (Obihiro)
This was a weird week!! Had some days in Obihiro, and we asked our friend Norico san if she would be baptized and she said she would think about it. So that was a win considering she used to never talk church with us when I got to Obihiro. But she has such a strong Faith already but just wants to know more first. But I think soon she will take that step!! So I'm so excited for that. It was so sad to say bye to her and some of my other friends this week. I gave a Book of Mormon with a note in it to one of our friends on my last night. And he ended up reading a chapter that a missionary recommended and I heard that he almost invited himself to be baptized!! And he told us like 2 weeks ago he would never change religion. But he is so close now!! So lots of fun stuff in Obihiro right now!!

札幌 (Sapporo)
I went to Sapporo for like 2 days to wait for my new companion. And got to do some streeting with 7 missionaries next to a college there haha.we just split up in 3 groups and talked to like every person there. And I got my first Book of Mormon out by streeting. So that was really cool.

士別 (Shibetsu)
Finally met up with my companion and went to Shibetsu! It was super foggy and and the first thing you see when you get in the Tiny Train Station is the Shibetsu Aquarium! It is really awesome and holds about 3 small fish!!!

But it has been super awesome so far! My companion Elder Rollins and I get along really well, and he is the most talented pianist I have ever seen. So that's really cool. And he has been out over 7 months in Japan and his Japanese is really good! So it's been good practice.

We had a friend come for her first time this week to church. And we also had 20 members come this week which my companion said is really good for Shibetsu so that was awesome to get to meet so many members! And they all were so amazing and talked to our friend.

And we also got to meet with another old friend who used to be on date for baptism but randomly just disappeared. But he is back now!! And in our lesson with him he seemed like he was really interested!! And like so ready! So I think we can for sure get him back on date this transfer!!

Through Faith all things can come to past!! The more I put my trust in God the better my work turns out here. And I know that God has a plan for each of his children. As long as we Trust and do our part, we will be able to accomplish anything we want.

It's supposed to start snowing a lot this week in Shibetsu!!
