Anotha Week! 笑
Heyyooo this was another good week, pretty busy, and lots of fun stuff going on.
TayoroWe went finding in Tayoro this week. It's a tiny town and we were able to knock like half the doors there in 2 hours. Low key every person just said no to a message. But in our last little bit we said we would get at least 2 houses to listen to us. And we ended up actually getting those 2 and had really good conversations. And I know there was a good reason for us to be knocking in that city that day. Also one of the houses we were just walking up to and we heard some deep voice saying "No" basically. But we didn't know where it came from, but he kept talking. We figured out he was in this pretty small tree that reaches over where we walked and was just trimming the tree. This guy also had a walker and a cane at the bottom of the tree, so I don't know how he got up there. So that kinda also made our day lol.MembasMe and my companion got the sick opportunity to drive up to the top of Hokkaido with our senior missionaries and visit 2 members who live about 2 hours from the church. The first lived in Monbetsu and the second in Omu. One of them is 96 but he stil drives to church often. He wasnt home:( And the other is a lady from Vietnam who is working here to get money for her family, and ended up getting baptized about 10 years ago. She was the sweetest and made us Vietnamese food. And a full course meal. It was fire! And at the end we got to share a spiritual message. And we shared something from Sister Runia's talk from General Conference. And she shared the most heart felt experience ever with us. I love our members and how strong their faith is.Got to see the beach up there which was super cool. It was kinda cold but worth it. Found a sick shell. And the Vietnamese member actually gave us seaweed fresh from the ocean that she grabbed that morning. I'm a little scared to eat it, but gotta try it.First lesson in a whileHad a lesson with one of our friends. It's been about 3 months since we have been able to have a lesson with her. But my companion had to play Pokémon with her son so i kinda got to just do the lesson. It was a mix of an English lesson and teaching about Christ's Atonement. Which turned out to be such a Spirit filled experience.SpiritualI restarted the Book of Mormon and loved this scripture in 1 Nephi 16. It is verses 28 and 29."28 And it came to pass that I, Nephi, beheld the pointers which were in the ball, that they did work according to the faith and diligence and heed which we did give unto them.29 And there was also written upon them a new writing, which was plain to be read, which did give us understanding concerning the ways of the Lord; and it was written and changed from time to time, according to the faith and diligence which we gave unto it. And thus we see that by small means the Lord can bring about great things."I loved this scripture. By small means we can gain so much from God. And Faith in Christ is the center of it all!Love you all!! Hope it's another good week!-ラーキンス長老
